Pins, Barrettes, and Clips, oh my!

It’s all about the hair. If you’re at all similar to me, you’re probably obsessed with all things late 80’s/early 90’s and can I just say, these hair trends are back in fashion honeys!

In particular, I’m talking about the fun additions we get to add to our hair. Hair clips and barrettes and pins are all actually useful tools in holding your hair back, but here in London, they’ve taken off and it’s literally a competition of how many hair clips can I throw in my hair that look aesthetically pleasing against one another. I’ve recently gone a bit mental trying to find some hair clips that are comfortable, cute and actually really sensible in my day to day or night out.

One of the most important reasons I wanted to post about, yes hair clips, is because I feel most of us feel like we NEED to be involved in the “trends” happening around us. Who has a fake Gucci belt? Most of us. I totally understand that we need to develop our own sense of styles and be ourself and do what feels comfortable. The main message here is: if there is a trend you find yourself falling into because you’re genuinely excited for it or strikes a positive memory of a childhood trend, why not go for it?

I’ve never been a person to not give something a chance and I want to encourage others to feel the same. You never have to feel like you need to do something but there are times when it’s okay to go with the crowd and unite in that.

As always, a lyric to leave off my short but sweet note from the famous Shania Twain, “The best thing about being a woman
Is the prerogative to have a little fun”
